We sat down with Alexandra, to learn a bit about her journey as an entrepreneur.

Q. What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?

Alexandra: The divorce rate for first marriages is 40–50%, and the divorce rate for second marriages is 60–67%, but most who remain married are not exactly happy either. Indeed, the vast majority of marriages are conflict-free and passion-free. However, having a fantastic relationship is a learnable skill and the main reason couples aren’t joyful and passionate is that they never learned how.

Once I transformed my own marriage, I decided to teach others how to have a lifelong emotional connections and sensual intimacy.

I started my business to provide a place for motivated couples to learn how to create the relationships they previously only dreamed of.

Q. What was your biggest startup challenge? What steps did you take to overcome it? What did you learn?

Alexandra: Being masterful as a coach is a very different skill set than marketing and promoting my services.

My biggest challenge have been to learn the latter.

Having consistently superb testimonials made it easier to speak with potential clients about my services.

Q. What is the most memorable thing you’ve done since you started your business?

Alexandra: My favorite part of my business is hearing couples who are graduates of my programs tell me how much their children benefit from the improvements in their marriage!

Q. What is one book you recommend, and why?

Alexandra: I recommend “Uncompromising Intimacy.” It is my best-selling book and a perfect read for anyone who wants more connection and closeness in their relationship.

Q. What are your top 3 favourite online apps, tools or resources and what do you love about them?

Alexandra: I love Sleep Timer which tells me the best time to set my alarm to have nourishing REM sleep cycles, Voxer for ongoing voice memos with clients and my staff, and Slack.

Q. In terms of legacy, what is the mark you’d like to leave on the world?

Alexandra: My mission is to change the cultural narrative around long-term relationships, so people know it’s not where passion goes to die but instead is where the depth of connection and intimacy can flourish.

Q. In one sentence, what’s the best advice you’d give to someone just starting out on their entrepreneurial journey?

Alexandra: Become excellent at what you do because, in the end, that’s what matters most.
