Perri Schneider, an Online Dating Coach, truly teaches from her own perils with the dating apps. Based in NYC she found herself in one of the best cities to date, however, she was so overwhelmed and discouraged by her experience. Through her challenges, she realized that dating apps are an incredible tool and should be used as such. She is happy to report that she met her current partner on one of the popular dating apps and figured out the system to succeed with online dating. Now with her coaching business, she helps singles from all over the world use the apps to find love.

Here we sit down with Perri, to know a bit more about her journey as an online dating coach.

Q. What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?

Perri: I struggled with my own experience of the dating apps but once I found success I wanted to share my positive experience with everyone who was feeling discouraged. Entrepreneurship to me is being a positive force in a challenging time. I want to lead others with a bright light and help them through their own tough time.

Q. How did you get started?

Perri: After reflecting on the methods I used to meet my partner on a popular dating app, I realized it came down to a few small changes that I made in both my dating profile and the behavior in which I used the apps. I wanted to teach others how to repeat my steps and help them to find their own success and love.

Q. What was your biggest startup challenge? What steps did you take to overcome it? What did you learn?

Perri: Launching my business was a true obstacle I overcame. I wanted it to be perfect and thought out when in actuality there’s never an ideal time. Once I just went for it and started connecting with clients it became clear that sometimes you just need to go for it without having all details sorted.

Q. What is the Most Memorable Thing You’ve Done Since you Started your Business?

Perri: Being named as one of the Top Ten Dating Coaches to watch in 2021 on Yahoo Finance. That was such an incredible moment and article to be a part of. It really solidified for me that what I was doing was important and worthwhile.

Q. What is one book you recommend, and why?

Perri: I love the book Attached by Amir Levine Rachel Heller. If you want to break through the struggles you may be having in your dating life, the best thing you can do is reflect on your past. This book helps you reflect on your attachment style and gives you tangible advice on how to move towards a more secure style. Through recognizing our flaws around relationships we can mature past our challenges and find long-lasting love.

Q. In terms of legacy, what is the mark you’d like to leave on the world?

Perri: I want to be a positive force. I pride myself on my ability to bring light to dark situations and offer a solution to issues instead of focusing on the problem at hand. I want others to see me for being focused on the good and my consistent optimistic outlook. Yes, I have bad days and challenging moments, but I don’t let myself settle there for long. I let my frustrations out and quickly pivot towards finding the solution.

Q. In one sentence, what’s the best advice you’d give to someone just starting out on their entrepreneurial journey?

Perri: There will never be a perfect moment to begin, so just start.
