April Gaines is a Professional Mental Health and Substance Abuse Counselor. A Certified. Advanced Alcohol and Addictions Counselor through McBap of Michigan. April has spent a total of 21 years studying and obtaining numerous different degrees and certificates in the mental health, substance abuse, healing, and spirituality domains.

A few of these certifications include being a two times over Reiki Energy Healing Master, an Ama Deus Energy Healer, a certificated Hypnotherapist, a Past Life Regression Therapist, a Certified Auricular Acupuncturist and a Clairvoyant Psychic-Medium.

Here we sit down with April, to know a bit more about her journey as a coach.

Q. What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?

April: April has made it her life’s mission is to help as many people as she can to develop permanent self-esteem and inner peace through awareness. Teaching people they have innate worth, value, and purpose in this life. April has the gift of being a psychic-medium where she gets the privilege to heal many souls, guide people in their life, and connect them to loved ones on the
other side. Everything she does is intended to heal and spread love and light in the world.

Q. How did you get started?

April: April is a mom of five girls, a bonus mom to her niece and a grandmother of twelve grandkids family is of vital importance. She values family, creating memories and enjoys family gatherings and events. April has an endless love for learning and teaching, with a personable down to earth approach to changing lives.

Q. What was your biggest startup challenge? What steps did you take to overcome it? What did you learn?

April: Starting a business begins with a dream. A dream that is full of excitement and passion. If only running a business was that easy. The biggest challenge was learning the online world and slowly plugging away at setting up all the online links, accounts, and social connections to run a business.

Q. What is the Most Memorable Thing You’ve Done Since you Started your Business?

April: The most memorable thing I have done is faced my fear of being seen and started creating online videos for people to watch to heal done to the soul level. When a person messages me or writes me to let me know that it truly helped them and they are now in a different space it makes it all worth it.

Q. What is one book you recommend, and why?

April: The Four Agreements by Don, this book is life-changing as you learn how to love yourself and stop caring about the opinion of others.

Q. What are your top 3 favourite online apps, tools, or resources and what do you love about them?

April: My top three are Facebook, Instagram, and youtube because of their ease of use and accessibility.

Q. In terms of legacy, what is the mark you’d like to leave on the world?

April: To heal as many souls in one lifetime as I can.

Q. In one sentence, what’s the best advice you’d give to someone just starting out on their entrepreneurial journey?

April: The conversations you have with yourself and your opinion of yourself are not only the most important conversations but the only opinions that actually matter.
